THE SECRET TO SECOND - DAY HAIR!

  How-to:

Your schedule is crazy, but your hair routine doesn't have to be! Skip the shampoo and look hot in less time.

By Tomoko Takeda
1. Sop up greasies!

The day after a blow-dry, hair can get flat and oil--dry shampoo is your fast fix! Spritz the roots then massage It in for killer volume.

2. Add oomph!

Soft waves add a ton of body -- and camouflage frizzies too! Wrap hair around a curling iron from midshaft to ends, then tousle with fingers.

3. Give it some style!

For pretty polish, pull back the pieces around your face with pins -- or pile it all on top into a high bun. (Day-old hair has better grip for updos!) Metallic elastics add cute sparkle.

     Quick Styles

Leave bumps here and there slightly disheveled looks are sexy -- and mega fast!

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE GETTING MARRIED

Before getting married, you tend to worry about many issues.  You don’t know what the responsibilities are when transitioning from a single to married life: the obstacles that you might face, once you transition into the married family life you will be acquiring more responsibilities that you never had when you were living a single life.

All your thoughts and problems will affect your family.  Everyone knows that having a family is hard work because there are a lot of responsibilities.  But knowing how to create a happy and fulfilling family is a thousand times harder.  That is why before you get married, you have to be able to understand and answer the following questions.

      Health Conditions

Health is always considered the most important conditions of human beings.  If you are healthy, you are able to produce a happy and healthy family.

According to many doctors and specialists, when the male or female isn’t mature biologically and they decide to create a family, there will many problems that will arise in the future.

The mature phase of a male is usually above twenty, the female is usually above 18 years of age. As proof from the biological aspect, females eighteen years and above and males twenty years and above are able to healthy .  At this age they are complete and ready to create a family.

But the best age to get married at is when a male is twenty four years old and the female is twenty years.  When they are not mature enough, making a family and having a child is not good.
In addition, early marriage has negative effects such as:

      - When you lack experience in life and get married, it will make the marriage and their relationships difficult.

      - If you don’t put enough consideration into the partner you’re married and don’t wholly understand each other on the psychological level, it will be easy to hurt them.

      -  Lack of experience in raising children

      These questions need answers

The following questions are the practical question that men and women need to think before making this serious choice in your life:

         1.  Why do you want to get married?

         2.  Are you getting married because of you want to do so or are forced?

         3.  What can of person do you want your spouse to be like?

         4.  What do you want your life to be like after marriage?

        5.  What can you do to protect your partner from future problems?

        6.  What are your future life plans after marriage?

        7. Are you satisfied with the person you’re marrying?

        8.  Would you be happy if you lost them out of your life?

        9.  Do you feel like the luckiest person marrying to this person?

       10.  After you marry them do you feel like you still want to treat them the same way you treated them before in the relationship?

       11.  Are you willing to withstand with your partner through all the problems no matter how dire they might be that might arise in the future?

       12.  What would you want your family life to be like?

       13.  Do you ever think about problems that might come up in the future and figure out ways to solve them?

       14.  Do you feel confident that you will successfully solve all the future problems that might come up?

       15.  In the situation that you live with your spouse, do you see any values of theirs that you don’t align with?

       16.  Do you ever wonder why you want children and how you want your children to be like?

       17.  Are you willing to make sacrifices for your family?

       18.  Do you ever wonder how you should treat your spouse’s family (your in-laws)?

       19.  How will you treat your spouse when they do something that angers you?

       20. If your family lacks in a certain aspect (financially, physically, emotionally) how will you deal with it?

       21.  If your spouse has a temper or has a lot of flaws, how will you deal with it?

       22.  How would you define a happy family?

       23.  Do you have complete confidence that you’re able to handle taking care of your family in the future?

The aforementioned questions are just a general scheme to help you find the best plan for a happy family.

If you aren’t able to answer a lot of the aforementioned questions, it means that you shouldn’t get married or that you aren’t ready to get married.

HOW TO BE SAFE ON THE STREET FROM RAPISTS

A Group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interview on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

       1. The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a women with long hair, women with short hair are not common targets.

       2. The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who's clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around specifically to cut clothing.

       3. They also look for women on their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.

       4. Men are most likely to attack & rape in the early morning, between 5:00 a.m and 8:30 a.m

       5. The number one place women are abducted from/attacked is grocery store, parking lots. Number two is office parking lots/garages. Number three is public restrooms.

       6. The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to another location where they don't have to worry about getting caught.

       7. Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3 - 5 year sentence but rape with a weapon is 15 - 20 years.

       8. If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only take a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't worth it beacause it will be time-consuming.

       9. These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas, or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.

Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you're not worth it.

       10. Several defense mechanisms he taught us are: If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: "I can't believe it is so cold out here", we're in for a bad winter." Now you've seen their face and could identify them in a line-up; you lose appeal as a target.

       11. If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell STOP or STAY BACK! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or shower that she would not be afraid to fight back, Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

       12. If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yell I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.

       13. If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength but you can by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm (between the elbow and armpit) OR in the upper inner thigh VERRY VERRY HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands - the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it hurts.

       14. After the initial hit, always GO for the GROIN. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble and he's out of there.

       15. When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible! The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

       16. Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts!!!

You may feel a little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

       1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do!

       2. Learned this from a tourist guide in New Orleans. If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you..... chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

        3. If you are ever thrown into the truck of a car, kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won't see you, but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

        4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, et.c., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, ec.t. DON'T DO THIS!) The predator will be watch you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him  to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

       a. If someone is in the car with a gun to your head DO NOT DRIVE OFF, repeat: DO NOT DRIVE OFF! Instead gun the engine and speed into anything, wrecking the car. Your Air Bag will save you. If the person is in the back seat they will get the worst of it. As soon as the car crashes bail out and run. It is better than having them find your body in a remote location.

        5. A few! notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:

        A. Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor, and in the and in the back seat.

        B. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door . Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

        C. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out.

IT IS AWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

        6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot. This is especially true at NIGHT!)

WILL SEX HURT THE FIRST TIME?

Clicking "Search" is easy enough -- but the advice that pops up could be freaky, cringe-worthy, or downright dangerous. Here's info you can trust.

      By Amber Madison

Q: WILL SEX HURT THE FIRST TIME?

A: Honestly, it might. If your hymen (the thin layer of tissue that partially covers your vagina) breaks, there will probably be some pain--and maybe even a little blood. But no matter what you might read in scary first-time stories online, the big thing to know is waiting until you're truly ready to have sex helps (Really!)
If you don't fully trust the guy, feel pressured into doing it, or have even an ounce of doubt about whether or not it's the right time, you won't be able to relax, and your vagina will tense up -- causing even more discomfort. So don't rush it! When you're 100 percent ready, you're more likely to have a safe and comfortable experience, with no next-day regret.

WHAT'S AN ORGASM

     By Amber Madison

      Q: WHAT'S AN ORGASM?

A: You see people pant and moan during steamy sex scenes in movies and think, So that's an orgasm? While it's true that an orgasm is the peak of sexual pleasure --when the muscles in and around your vagina contract for about 5 to 15 seconds--it's not always so over-the-top dramatic. The first time you have one, it can take you by surprise (and be much quieter than you think!). Some girls describe an orgasm as a giddy tingle, and others say they feel a rush all over their body. It's different for everyone! And you don't have to have sex to experience one--it can happen any other time you're turned on, too.

MEETING MEN

        By Margaret Kent

Now that you're dressing in a friendly manner, it's time to start meeting men. Your ideal mate is scarcer than one in a hundred, and probably closer to one in a thousand, so you need to meet many men to find the man of your choice. You're ready to begin this initial step in your manhunt.

        TAKING THE INITIATIVE

The man you are seeking can be yours, but only if you take the initiative. Unless you can find diamonds in the street and pearls in your chowder, don't expect the man of your dreams to appear on your doorstep without any effort on your part.

Assume for a moment that you're considering becoming a gold prospector. You would formulate ideas as to what you need to carry out your mission: basic equipment, personal effort and energy, and, of course, a location where you're likely to find gold. No matter how ignorant you are about prospecting, you certainly wouldn't expect to find gold nuggets in your front yard, nor would you ever imagine that someone will ring your doorbell and say, "I understand that you are seeking gold. Here, I've brought you some."

Finding a mate is similar to panning for gold. Both take effort! Society may have you convinced that there will be some magic moment in your future when you'll meet and marry your ideal prince, all by chance! You may believe that the only requirement on your part is patience, and that you should sit back and wait. With this philosophy, all that will happen to you is menopause and old age. Wake up! No man is going to knock at your door and ask, "Does a nice girl live here? I'd like to marry her."

Men have little courage when it comes to women. This explains why Plain Jane, who take the initiative, is married and you are daydreaming.

         Begin with Eye Contact

One of the first steps in meeting a man is making eye contact. Eye contact is crucial in showing a man that you find him worth meeting. Still, while he may be very desirable, try not to state or gawk.

        Keep on Smiling

Another first step in meeting a man is to smile. Your smile is one of your most attractive attributes. Smiling is special, and part of the whole process of saying hello. It's fun, it's easy to do, and, after all, smile don't wear out. So keep smiling.

        Have a Tourist Attitude

Have you ever noticed that it's easy to meet people when you travel than it is when you're home? Acting like a tourist can help you overcome shyness and meet more interesting men. I have a friend who's travel buff. When she's away from home, she doesn't hesitate to approach any man for directions, general conversation, or guidance. She can ask a man for an explanation of his customs, his ideals, or his culture. When she's a foreigner in a foreign land, she is not influenced by her culture's illogical taboos.

She isn't questing for marriage during her travels, so she feels at ease in her conversation. She treats every man as a book from which she can extract a unique story. This technique works so well that she meets incredibly desirable and available men -- men who seem unapproachable to the women in that country.

At home, however, she was tongue-tired. She though about the ease with which she initiated conversations aboard, and decided that if her tourist personality loosened her tongue, she should be a "tourist" at home. Now she carries a camera and tries to look "touristy", which give her the license to approach anyone with any excuse. Men respond quite positively to her initiative.

         Saying Hello

The first thing you must do is say hello to every man where you live, where you work, where you shop, where you conduct your business, and where you go for recreation. Greet every man are reasonably sure is not a danger to you.

Many women cannot easily approach a man and say, "You look like an interesting person, and I would enjoy talking to you!" Society has taught us not to approach men we might like. We are pressured to respect social barriers and use "proper" channels to meet men, so we remain in our own social circles, with little chance of meeting new men.

For some women, the most difficult phase of a relationship is the beginning, the initial creation of interest. You need some courage to create interest and initiate the contact. Go ahead--you can do it! Most  men will respond favorably to your friendliness and will start a conversation or give you the chance to begin one. The key is as simple as a smile and the word hello.
