ENCOURAGEMENT

Some of a greatest success stories of history have followed a word of encouragement or an act of  confidence by a loved one or a trusting friend. Had it not been for a confident wife, Sophia, we might not have listed among the great names of literature the name of Nathaniel Hawthorne.

When Nathaniel, a heartbroken man, went home to tell his wife that he was a failure and had been fired from his job, she surprised him with an exclamation of joy.

"Now," she said triumphantly, "you can write your book!"

"Yes," replied the man, with sagging confidence, "and what shall we live on while I am writing it?"

To his amazement, she opened a drawer and pulled a substantial amount of money.

"When on earth did you get that" he exclaimed.

"I have always known that you were a man of genius," she told him. "I knew that someday you would write a masterpiece. So every week, out of money you gave me for housekeeping, I saved a little bit. So here is enough to last us for one whole year."

From her trust and confidence came one of the greatest novels of American literature, The Scarlet Letter.

                                                                                               - Nido Qubien

I takes so littler to make people happy.

Just a touch if we know how to give it,

Just a word fitly spoken....a slight readjustment of some bolt or pin or bearing in the delicate machinery of a soul.

                                                                                                  - Frank Crane

A SILENT LOVE

From the very beginning, the girl's family objected strongly on her dating this guy.

Saying that is has got to do with family background an that the girl will have to suffer for the rest of her life if she were to be with him

Due to family pressure, the couple quarrel very often. Though the girl loves the guy deeply, but she always asked him: "How deep is your love for me?"

As the guy is not good with his words, this often cause the girl to be very upset. With that and the family's pressure the girl often vents her anger on him. As for him, he only endures it in silence.

After a couple of years, the guy finally graduated and decided to further his studies in overseas. Before leaving, he proposed to the girl: "I'm not very good with words. But all I know is that I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family. I'll try my best to take them round. Will you marry me?"

The girl agreed, and with the guy's determination, the family finally gave in and agreed to let them get married. So before he left, they got engaged. The girl went out to the working society, whereas the guy was overseas, continuing his studies. They sent their love through emails and phone calls. Though it's hard, but both never thought of giving up.

One day, while the girl was on her way to work, she was knocked down by a car that lost control. When she woke up, she saw her parents beside her bed. She realized that she was badly injured. Seeing her mum crying, she wanted to comfort her. But she realized that all that could come out of her mouth was just a sign. She has lost her voice....

The doctor says that the impact on her brain has caused her lose her voice. Listening to her  parents' comfort, but with nothing coming out from her, she broke down.

During the stay in hospital, beside silence cry...it's still just silence cry that accompanied her. Upon reaching home, everything seems to be the same. Except for the ringing tone of the phone. Which pierced into her heart every time it rang. She does not wish to let the guy know. And not wanting to be a burden to him, she wrote a letter to him saying that she does not wish to wait any longer.

With that, she sent the ring back to him..In return, the guy sent millions and millions of reply, and countless of phone calls...All the girl could do, besides crying, is still crying...

The parents decided to move away, hoping that she could eventually forget everything and be happy.

With a new environment, the girl learn sign language and started a new life. Telling herself everyday that she must forget this guy. One day, her friend came and told her that he's back. She asked her friend not to let him know what happened to her. Since then, there wasn't anymore news of him.

A year has passed and her friend came with an envelope, containing an invitation card for the guy's wedding. The girl was shattered. When she opened the letter, she saw her name in it instead.

When she was about to ask her friend what's going on, she saw the guy standing in front of her, he used sign language telling her "I've spent a year's time to learn sign language. Just to let you know that I've not forgotten our promise let me have the chance to be your voice I love you" with that, he Slipped the ring back into her finger. The girl finally smiled.

                                                                                                I love you so

I LOVE YOU, HONEY

They have been married for a long time. As usual they  have their up and downs. One day they had a big fight over his long working hours and things are falling apart. He was disappointed and she was angry.

After one week of silence treatment from his wife, he approached her with papers and pencils. He suggested that both of them, sit down on the dining table and write down on paper what they are not happy about each other. They will than exchange the papers and discuss.

So the wife started to write without looking up because she have a lot to write about her frustration. The husband took a long look at the wife and started to write. After 15 minutes of writing. They look at each other and exchange the papers.

The husband looked at the paper full of complaints. She was angry. When the wife looked at his paper, she was embarrassed and quickly tears away his own paper. On his paper, he wrote for two full papers:

                                                                "I love you, honey."

( For the one I love

HUNGRY FOR YOUR LOVE

It is cold, so bitter cold, on this dark, winter day in 1942. But it is no different from any other day in this Nazi concentration camp. I stand shivering in my thin rags, still in disbelief that this nightmare is happening. I am just a young boy. I should be playing with friends; I should be going to school; I should be looking forward to a future, to growing up and marrying, and having a family of my own. But those dream are for the living, and I am no longer one of them. Instead, I am almost dead, surviving from day to day, from hour to hour, ever since I was taken from my home and brought here with tens of thousands of other Jews. Will I still be alive tomorrow? Will I be taken to the gas chamber tonight?

Back and forth I walk next to the barbed wire fence, trying to keep my emaciated body warm. I am hungry. I am always hungry. Edible food seems like a dream. Each day, as more of us disappear, the happy pass seems like a mere dream, and I sink deeper and deeper in to despair.

Suddenly, I notice a young girl walking past on the other side of the barbed wire. She stops and looks at me with sad eyes, eyes that seem to say that she understands, that she, too, cannot fathom why I am here. I want to look away, oddly ashamed for this stranger to see me like this, but I cannot tear my eyes from hers.

Then she reaches into her pocket, and pulls out a red apple. A beautiful, shiny red apple. Oh, how long has it been since I have seen one! she looks cautiously to the left and to the right, and then with a smile of triumph, quickly throws the apple over the fence. I run to pick it up, holding it in my trembling, frozen fingers. In my world of death, this apple is an expression of life, of love. I glance up in time to see the girl disappearing in to the distance.

The next day, I cannot, help myself - I am drawn at the same time to that spot near the fence. Am I crazy for hoping she will come again? Of course. But in here, I cling to any tiny scrap of hope. She has given me hope and I must hold tightly to it.

And again, she comes. And again, she bring me an apple, flinging it over the fence with the same sweet smile.

This time I catch it, and hold it up for her to see. Her eyes twinkle. Does she pity me? Perhaps. I do not care, though. I am just so happy to gaze at her. And for the first time in so long, I feel my heart move with emotion.

For seven  months, we meet like this. Some times we exchange a few words. Some times, just an apple. But she is feeding more than my belly, this angel from heaven. She is feeding my soul. And somehow, I know I am feeding her as well.

One day, I hear frightening news we are being shipped to another camp. This could mean the end for me. And it definitely mean the end for me and my friend.

The next day when I greet her, my heart is breaking, and I can barely speak as I say what must be said: "Do not bring me an apple  tomorrow, " I tell her. "I am being sent to another camp. We will never see each other again." Turning before I lose all control, I run away from the fence. I cannot bear to look back. If I did, I know she would see my tears streaming down my face.

Month pass and the nightmare continues. But the memory of this girl sustains me through the terror, the pain, the hopelessness. Over and over in my mind, I see her face, her kind eyes, I hear her gentle words, I taste those apples.

And then one day, just like that, the nightmare is over. The was has ended. Those of us who are still alive are freed. I have lost everything that was precious to me, including my family. But I still have the memory of this girl, a memory I carry in my heart and gives me the will to go on as I move to America to start a new life.

Years pass. It is 1957. I am living in New York City. A friend convinces me to go on a blind date with a lady friend of his. Reluctantly, I agree. But she is nice, this woman named Roma. And like me, she is immigrant, so we have at least that in common.

"Where were you during the war?" Roma ask me gently, in that delicate way immigrants ask one another questions about those years.

"I was in a concentration camp in Germany," I reply.

Roma gets a far away look in her eyes, as if she is remembering something painful yet sweet.

"What is it?" I ask.

"I am just thinking about something from my past, Herman," Roma explains in a voice suddenly very soft. "You see, when I was a young girl, I lived near a concentration camp. There was a boy there, a prisoner, and for a long while, I used to visit him every day. I remember I use to bring him apples. I would throw the apple over the fence, and he would be so happy."

Roma sighs heavily and continues. "It is hard to describe how we felt about each other - after all, we were young, and we only exchanged a few words when we could - but I can tell you, there was much love there. I assume he would killed like so many others. But I cannot bear to think that, and so I try to remember him as he was for those months we were given together."

With my heart pounding so loudly I think it will explode, I look directly at Roma and ask, "And did that boy say to you one day, 'Do not bring me an apple tomorrow. I am being sent to another camp'? "

"Why, yes," Roma responds, her voice trembling. "But, Herman, how on earth could you possibly know that?"

I take her hand in mine and answer, "Because I was that young boy, Roma."

For many moments, there is only silence. We cannot take our eyes from each other, and as the veils of time lift, we recognize the dear friend we once love so much, whom we have never stopped loving, whom we have never stopped remembering.

Finally, I speak: "Roma, I was separated from you once, and I don't ever want to be separated from you again. Now, I am free, and I want to be together with you forever. Dear, will you marry me?"

I see that same twinkle in her eyes as Roma says, "Yes, I will marry you," and we embrace, the embrace we longed to share for so many months, but barbed wire came between us, Now, nothing ever will again.

Almost forty years have passed since that day when I found my Roma again. Destiny brought us together the first time during the war to show me a promise of hope, and now it had reunited us to fulfill that promise.

Valentine's Day, 1996. I bring Roma to the Oprah Winfrey Show to honor her on national television. I want to tell her in front of millions of people what I feel in my heart every day:

"Darling, you fed me in the concentration camp when I was hungry. And I am still hungry, for something I will never get enough of: I am only hungry for your love."

9 Effective Ways to Get Over Your Crush...

By
9 Effective Ways to Get over Your Crush ...

Learning all of the ways to get over your crush isn’t easy, nor is it timely. If you’re having trouble getting over your crush, don’t think that you are alone, girls. There are many times that getting over your crush can feel horrible and can make you regret ever liking someone. Just because your crush doesn’t see you as girlfriend material doesn’t mean that he doesn’t see you as a friend. Below, I’ve got all of the ways to get past your crush that makes the pain easier to handle.

1. Realization

The hardest part about getting over your crush is realizing that he doesn’t like you the same way that you like him. The realization might be the first step, but it’s the hardest step to take. While you may like the guy, while you may even love him, if he doesn’t feel the same, you can’t force it – no matter how much you try to.

2. Admit That You Have a Crush

Once you’ve come to the realization that he might not have the same feelings you have for him, you’ve got to admit that you have a crush. I know it can be hard girls, but even if you just stand in front of your mirror and admit to yourself that you have a crush, you’d be amazed how much that makes a difference and how it is almost like extracting the poison. Give it a try.

3. Don’t Take It Personal

Just because he doesn’t have feelings for you, it is not something that you can take personal. Learning to get over your crush might not be easy, but it isn’t a personal indictment. A guy can’t control his feelings just like you can’t control your feelings. Imagine if a guy likes you, but you have absolutely no feelings for him – don’t take it personally.

4. Be Honest with Yourself

Getting over your crush is never easy, but you have to be honest with yourself. You’ve got to be upfront with yourself about your feelings and how you are affected by your crush not returning your them. Once you are honest with yourself about how hurt you are, it’s easier to process and easier to heal.

5. Don’t Dwell on It

Do you have a support group that you can go to? Do you have a best friend that you can talk to? Do you have someone that you can turn to that will keep you from dwelling on the fact that you’ll never ‘get’ your crush? That needs to be a focus, girls; you don’t want to dwell on something that will never happen and this is a necessary tip on getting over your crush.

6. Don’t Be Angry

Why are you angry? Because he doesn’t think of you the same way? That isn’t a reason, girls, While it might be hard to admit that, you’ve got to make sure that your emotions stay stable and calm. You don’t want to be angry or mad at your crush just because he doesn’t return the feelings that you have. After all, you can’t control who you like!

7. Reflect

When you are trying to get over your crush, why not take the time to reflect? Did you act differently around him? Did you scare him off? Was there something that you did? You want to reflect on everything and all of the interaction that you’ve had – just for a little while, don’t dwell for days and days, but just reflect.

8. Avoid Thinking about Him

One of the best ways to get over your crush is to stop thinking about it. I know it might be hard, but when you are thinking about him, you’ve got to dwell on something else. Avoid thinking about him at all costs. Pick up a hobby that you’ve never done before, talk to your friends, get into a support group with your family. Keep yourself busy and you’ll be able to get over your crush more quickly.

9. Don’t Keep Hoping

Finally girls, the last way to get over your crush that we’re going to discuss is not to keep hoping. He might never, ever change his feelings and you’ve got to be prepared for that. Just let your hope go and you’ll feel a lot better over time.
While I know that getting over your crush can be difficult, you’ve got to remember that there is someone out there that will appreciate you. Someone that will love you. So girls, what other ways to get over your crush do you have to share? What has worked for you?

8 Guy Hobbies for You to Be Aware of ...

Learning all about guy hobbies is important when you are in a relationship with a guy! After all, you want to know exactly what he’s into and which male hobbies might be something you are interested in too, right? If you have no idea which guy activities are out there and no idea where to look for the right hobbies, I’ve got your back, girls! Below, I’ve got all of the hobbies that your guy might be into, so you can learn a little bit about what he likes!

1. Fishing

Fishing is one of those guy hobbies that a lot of men just absolutely love! For me, this hobby isn’t one that I could do – because I can’t even bait the hook! So if you have a guy who is outdoorsy and loves to fish, it might be a good idea to at least look into doing it with your man!

2. Coaching

A lot of guys actually love to coach things. Little league, softball, soccer – tons of sports! This is truly for the guy who loves to be outdoors and is looking for a girl who loves sports. If your guy loves sports, you might want to see if both of you can coach a hockey team or a softball team in your spare time. It could be a great bonding experience for both of you!

3. Poker Night

Another traditional guy hobby that a ton of guys have is poker night. This is typically a ‘guy night’ thing, but maybe, if your guy is interested, you could get in on a poker night or two a month, just so that you’ll be able to bond a little bit more with your boyfriend. Poker can also be fun with just the two of you and can even be a little sexy!

4. Fantasy Football

Okay girls, so this is one guy hobby that I just don’t understand. I know that a lot of guys are into fantasy football, but me, myself, I can’t get a grip on it! This guy hobby has taken over the entire world, it seems. There isn’t a guy I know who isn’t involved in some type of fantasy football team!

5. Home Brewing

This guy hobby can actually be super fun for an entire family or even for just you and your boyfriend! Home brewing beer is such a great bonding experience and you’ll be doing something fun together. So, grab a home brewing kit and see if your guy wants to take up this hobby with you!

6. Target Shooting

Something about feeling a gun in their hands and being able to shoot at something legally is attractive to a guy. That’s what makes this hobby one of the best for guys. They love to head to the shooting range and stay there for hours. While this isn’t necessarily something I would do with my partner, would you girls go target shooting with your guy?

7. Golfing

This is one of the most versatile guy hobbies because it can be fun for both girls and guys! Golfing is great exercise and will get you out in the fresh air with your partner. It doesn’t matter whether you are good or even if you keep score, it’s just a great way for both of you to bond a little bit more!

8. Musical Instruments

Finally, the last guy hobby that we’re going to talk about is taking up a musical instrument! It doesn’t matter if it is a guitar, a trumpet or even the flute. Guys love girls that can play musical instruments and they love to play them, themselves.
So girls, there you have it! These are my top 8 guy hobbies that they love! What other guy hobbies are out there that maybe you can get involved in?

7 Ways to Tell Your Boyfriend You Cheated ...

Learning how to tell your boyfriend you cheated is nerve-wrecking. It can make you physically sick just thinking about it, right? You’ve done the deed though; now it’s time to ‘fess up, time to tell your boyfriend you cheated on him. Cheating is not good, it can cause a lot of pain, hurt and downright anger. It happens though and if you are guilty of cheating, you’ve got to figure out the right ways to tell your boyfriend you cheated on him, instead of skirting the issue.
1. Keep Calm

When you are trying to tell your boyfriend you cheated on him, you’ve got to make sure that you stay calm. This means not getting into hysterics and crying – right away. That can probably come later, but you want to stay calm at first, because truthfully, this is something that you did and you have to own up to it.

2. Don’t Do It in Public

Never, ever try to defuse the situation or manipulate his response by doing it in public. While his reaction might not be the best in the world, you’ve got to face it. You’ve got to make sure to tell your boyfriend you cheated in private. It’s a private matter and no matter how he reacts, he has the right to find out in private versus in public.

3. Be Honest

When you are dealing with cheating, you’ve got to be upfront and honest with your boyfriend. You want to make sure you tell your boyfriend you cheated as honestly as possible. How long ago was it, what night was it, who was it with? These are all questions that he is going to ask about and you want to make sure that you can be honest about them.

4. Be Outright

When you do finally find a way to tell your boyfriend you cheated, be direct and outright. You don’t want to beat around the bush and just mention that you have something to talk to him about. You want to make sure that you are totally outright with him. Just tell him that you cheated, spit it out.

5. Have a Plan

As you figure out how to tell your boyfriend you cheated on him, you want to make sure you have a plan. Don’t do it after a nice dinner and just before you part ways. Instead, why not just go over to his house, be direct and open and just tell him. Have a plan, but make sure that the plan includes you being forthright.

6. Realize You Hurt Him

Girls, you have to understand that when you are learning how to tell your boyfriend you cheated on him and you finally spit it out, you are going to hurt him. It is just something natural, something that is going to happen. You hurt him. You’re going to hurt him and there might not be anything that you can do to make him feel better.

7. Understand He Might Need Time

Finally girls, the last thing that you’ll need to understand when you are telling your boyfriend you cheated on him is that he might need time. He might need time away from you, time to separate from you, time that you aren’t around. You have to give him it, no matter how hard it is.
I understand that there are circumstances that happen and situations that you might find yourself in, but telling your boyfriend you cheated on him is going to be hard. Very hard. Do you girls have any other ways to tell your boyfriend you cheated that you have used?

7 Reasons to Take Him Out of The Friend-Zone...

7 Reasons to Take Him Out of The Friend-zone ...
The friend-zone is a perilous place, so it’s important to think about all the reasons to take him out of the friend-zone. Every girl has had that one guy friend she has put in the zone. That guy who they have crushed on forever and can’t decide if they should take the next step with them or not. A friend-zone is a place where we put the guys we can’t see as boyfriend material. Well, I am here to tell you that a guy you put in the friend-zone might make the best boyfriend yet. So go ahead, take the plunge, and listen to these reasons you should take him out of the friend-zone
1. He Has Seen You at Your Worst

This is probably one of the best reasons to take him out of the friend-zone. He was the guy that you went crying to when your last boyfriend ended up being a idiot. He has seen you stuff your face with chocolate, with tears streaming down your face. The best part?  He still likes you. He knows that you are not perfect and you have bad days, and he doesn’t care.

2. Your Friends Already like Him

How hard is it for your friends to like your current boyfriend? Do you friends already like your BFF guy friend? The answer is simple! They know he will treat you well and that you two already have fun together. And they will absolutely give you their blessing when you two decide to take your relationship out of the friend-zone.

3. He Knows The Mistakes Your past Boyfriends Have Made

When you broke up with all those ex-boyfriends for all different reasons, he was there listening to you complain about them. He was paying attention. That guy in the friend-zone knows what deal breakers you have in a relationship, and he will avoid them like the plague, if it means having you as his girlfriend.

4. He Knows What Makes You Smile

He’s already your friend, so he must already make you laugh and smile. He knows how to make you laugh like an idiot and he loves doing it. Being able to make you laugh is one of the most important qualities in a boyfriend!  He understands your sense of humor, that’s rare!

5. He Likes You for You

This, too, is one of the most defining reasons to take him out of the friend-zone. He isn’t interested in the way you dress when you go out to a club, or how pretty you look when you are all done up. He knows the real you. The one who wears sweatpants and stays in eating ice cream with no make up on. That is the girl he likes.

6. Your Relationship Is Natural

You guys already get along and have fun together. So you two together, will be just like your friendship…just a bit more intimate. You don’t have to try too hard with him. You two just click, which is something that is so important to have in a relationship.

7. Friends Make The Best Boyfriends

So what’s the greatest reason to take him out of the friend-zone? Your boyfriend should be your best friend, so it just makes sense that your best guy friend would make the perfect boyfriend. He will be there for you, he likes you for you, and he will be a great friend. Which is all you really need in a perfect boyfriend.
There are lots of great reasons to take him out of the friend-zone, you just have to step away from the situation and look at all of his amazing qualities too. Have you ever put a guy in the friend-zone? Did you decide to take him out of the friend-zone? Let me know why you decided to date him and if he ended up being a good boyfriend.

8 Signs Your Long Distance Relationship Is Ending...

8 Signs Your Long Distance Relationship Is Ending ...

It’s heartbreaking when you begin to notice the signs your long distance relationship is ending when you really want things to work out. But you are cheating yourself out of true love and genuine happiness when you hang on to a fading long distance relationship. A long distance relationship takes a special kind of commitment and extreme perseverance from both people to succeed. If you feel that your boyfriend isn’t doing his part to make it work and his interest is dwindling, you may be in a dying long distance relationship. So ladies, if you are ready to face your relationship reality-I’m going to share with you the 8 signs your long distance relationship is ending.

1. There is a dramatic change in your communication routines
You start to notice that he doesn’t reply to your text messages, calls and e-mails. It seems like he can’t even be bothered to contact you. When he does talk to you, the conversation is short and lacks quality. This change usually means your boyfriend is losing interest in the relationship.

2. He always has an excuse ready

He is full of excuses when you suggest using webcams or a messenger program so you can spend some time together online. He will turn you down with various excuses like he is too busy, too tired or already has plans for that evening. If you have to plead with him to hang out with you, you are definitely in a dying long distance relationship. He would make spending time with you a priority if he wanted to continue the relationship,

3. You feel unimportant to him

If you bring this particular subject up with him, he will dismiss your feelings and be unwilling to talk about it. Your boyfriend should do everything he can to make you feel cherished and loved even if he is far away. If it seems like you are taking a backseat to other priorities in his life, maybe its time to let go of him.

4. He doesn’t talk about the future

A long distance couple frequently talks about the future because the ultimate goal is to live together in the same place one day. One of the biggest signs your long distance relationship is ending is that he doesn’t seem interested in making future plans with you. The awesome conversations about getting married, names of your future kids and where you will both live have completely stopped.

5. He doesn’t use endearing nicknames for you anymore

A healthy couple enjoys using many terms of endearment whenever they speak to each other. Not only because its fun but because it can make you feel emotionally closer to one another. He may already have one foot out the door if he stopped calling you silly and sweet nicknames like hunny bunny, baby cakes or love muffin.

6. He doesn’t want to discuss any problems in your relationship

Most guys are natural problem solvers so if he shows no interest in improving the current state of affairs, it may signal a dying long distance relationship. If he has really given up on the relationship, he doesn’t feel the need to solve its issues. Don’t force the matter because you can’t make someone love you.

7. He meets a girl that lives closer to him

He insists they are just friends but you suspect that there is something fishy going on. When you invite him to come visit you on the weekend, he will say he already has plans with her. This is a neon flashing sign that he has replaced you with someone else. It’s safe to say that he probably won’t mind if you find a substitute for him.

Mix ½ cup of baking soda for every gallon of water in your basin, soak for about a half hour and follow it up with a thick cream for sparkly and smooth skin!

 4. Detox Bath

We’ve been talking about how to use baking soda for skin but it also makes for a fabulous detoxing bath! Detox baths can help your body to eliminate toxins and your skin will love the nourishing minerals from the ingredients! Be sure you try this in the evening because you’ll likely feel tired. You might even feel weak or flu-ish from detoxing, so make sure you stay hydrated! Add 1-2 cups of baking soda and 2 cups of Epsom salts while you draw your bath and sit in it for about 30 minutes.

  5. Sunburn Relief

A great way to use baking soda for your skin is to use it to treat sunburns. Make a cool compress by soaking a clean cloth soaked in a mix of baking soda and water or make a bath by adding ½ cup baking soda to a lukewarm bath to relieve burning, irritating and itchy skin. It’s a great substitute when you don’t have any Aloe on hand.

6. Nail Care

So far we’ve talked about how to use baking soda for skin care but it’s a fab nail cleaner so I had to include this on the list! You can use baking soda to give your nails and cuticles a good cleaning or you can use it to treat nail fungus. To clean your nails, pour some baking soda on your nail brush and scrub. To treat nail fungus, mix two parts baking soda and one part water to make a paste to apply all around the infected nail. Let it sit for 10 minutes and repeat up to two times a day until the fungus is gone.

7. Acne Mask

If you have acne, try using baking soda for skin care in the form of an acne mask. After washing your face, mix a few drops of baking soda with warm water until you have a paste and apply it all over your face. Leave it on for about 5-10 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Baking soda will not only clean and smooth your skin, as we found from the previous recipes, but it also helps remove blackheads!
We can all easily learn how to use baking soda for skin and get great results! I love finding cheap and easy ways to make my very own beauty products! Keep in mind that although baking soda is natural, some skin types tend to not love it as much others, so always test it out first and limit using these treatments to once a week! Have you ever used baking soda on your skin before? Will you try out any of these baking soda skin care products?

6 Signs Your Date Is Interviewing You for Marriage

1/ He asks you where you see yourself in 5, 10, and 20 years

….before bothering to ask about where you’re from or what your hobbies are. If he starts firing away suggestions like a career counselor and pulling up recent salary reports on his iPad, start scanning the room for the nearest exit.
2. By the end of the date, you feel like you know very little about her

But you know a ton about her friends who are married, engaged, engaged to be engaged, or going through reproductive challenges.
3. He focuses more on the the past and future, not the present

He has no idea what you do for a living, but you feel like you came out of a Freudian-style therapy session by the end of dinner and a movie. Ruh-roh: your date may be gauging whether your baggage and goals are compatible with his. But hey, awesome breakthrough about your mother.
4. She asks about your parents’ marriage during the first round of drinks

Extra points if she has you dissecting the real reasons behind their divorce by the end of the night.
5. He asks about the status of your debt and student loans

He’s either trying to figure out how responsible you are or he’s asking because he wants to be your sugar daddy and pay ‘em off for you. Fingers crossed! (Though if he starts having you fill out life insurance forms, run and make sure all of your major organs are still inside your body.)
6. She grills you about the length of all of your past relationships

It’s one thing to briefly ask how long your last relationship. It’s another to ask you to work your way back to your summer camp girlfriend in 4th grade. And then to ask you, “So what went wrong? Why couldn’t you commit?”

Dating Tips Advice

Sure, we can give you dating tips, but sometimes it's good to get it straight from the source. That's why we asked men to spill on the advice they wish women knew about getting to know a new guy.

By Lauren Otis

Be Open Minded

"Please don't assume we're going to the nicest restaurant in the city because I won't take you there. I'll take you to a dive bar with amazing burgers to see how you react. If you're flowing with it and cool, we've got a winner. If you seem offended by it, that's as far as we go."
—Steve M.
Don't Over-Research
"Girls should try to avoid pre-judging before a first date. Whether it's someone you're meeting online or it's someone your friends know, aim to drop the things you know about them and start fresh. Don't ask your friends to tell you everything they can because you can end up with a tainted view of what to expect. Half the fun of going out is getting to know someone new, so allow yourself to let that happen organically." —Oliver B.

Check Your Baggage

"Please don't compare us to your exes—out loud or even in your head. Sometimes horror stories about them can make for fun discussion, but don't ever bring your ex into the conversation if it's not called for. When I hear about a girl's man, I'm assuming we probably shouldn't be on that date period. If she literally can't keep his name out of her mouth for a couple of hours, it makes me feel like she's clearly not over past issues. I don't want to pick up a saved video game: I'm here to start new."
—Orlando O.

(Or at Least Attempt To)
"I always appreciate the offer to split the check, even though I never allow it. If we end up grabbing drinks later and a woman insists on paying, I really like that a lot. It shows me that she’s genuinely interested in spending time with me as opposed to wanting to be wined and dined regardless of who she’s with." —Nate N.

But Don't Recoil If He Doesn't Reach for the Bill…
"If the guy doesn't say something and take the check off the table to pay, it's probably fair to assume that you're going Dutch. There are different reasons that a guy might not pick up the tab (some that might not have anything to do with you), but if you're into him, avoid looking too disappointed. You don't want him to think you expected it." —Josh F.

You Are What You Eat
"The food you choose on dates says volumes about your character. Dainty foods (read: salads) seem to have a low correlation to fun and enjoyment. First few dates, make the food good, simple and completely forgettable so you can focus on each other." —Max S.

 It Pays to Pay
(Or at Least Attempt To)
"I always appreciate the offer to split the check, even though I never allow it. If we end up grabbing drinks later and a woman insists on paying, I really like that a lot. Know You're Awesome
"I like a girl to be confident going into a date, even if it's the first one. The normal guy-girl interactions on initial outings usually fall somewhere between awkward and really awkward (which is understandable, especially if it's a blind date), so having a girl go the opposite route not only makes her more intriguing—it's also a total turn-on."
—Alex S
.
Be Honest
"Say what you mean. Girls have this tendency of expecting guys to read between the lines, then ending up disappointed. If you want something, be specific and avoid causing yourself unnecessary stress. We're usually pretty open to new ideas." —Adrian B.
Don't Jump to
(Sexual) Conclusions
"Please don't critique or be too harsh about someone's sexual performance the first time you hook up with him. Things are new and you aren't familiar with what the other likes yet. Until you've had time to communicate about that stuff, it's impossible to weigh them against your former boyfriend of three years." —Greg B.
Keep the First Date
Short and Sweet...
"First dates are best kept quick and noncommittal for both parties—unless you've known each other for a while. If I meet a girl and get her number, the first time we go out shouldn't be a three-hour opera and dinner afterwards. What if we end up not liking each other? Then we're just stuck and that's rude. Opt for something that gives you both an easy out, like lunch or a drink. If you guys have a great time, you're both left wanting more."
—Greg G.

Think Like a Man
"If a girl and I end up hooking up quickly, it doesn't necessarily mean I've written her off. All she needs to do to maintain my interest is…be awesome. Be interesting and interested in me. Plan cool events. For example, 'Hey, I've got an extra ticket to this show tonight. Want to go?' Go out and do things I'd want to do, and then invite me. Chances are I'll probably join you. Be willing to embrace the things men love."
—Sam M.

Speak Up

"I get frustrated when I feel like I'm constantly the one driving the conversation—it happens to me a lot and it feels a little unfair. It's hard to get the sense that I'm getting to know someone when I'm tasked with doing all the talking. On the flip side though, it's a rough night when a girl goes on about herself at length without asking me anything about myself. I like it best when someone can counter me with questions of their own." —Noah A.

Don't Talk Smack

"Don't hate on other girls. I actually had one girl, while we were in the middle of a conversation, look over at another girl and say, 'Eww, look at that girl's dress.' The way she said it sounded so bitchy and I wasn't into it at all. Cattiness isn't an attractive quality." —Nick L.

Give Thanks
The guy will almost always hold the door open, pay for dinner, etc., but it's still nice to hear a thank you and know that it's all appreciated. It really goes a long way. I've almost come to stop expecting them so it's especially nice when I hear them. If it doesn't happen in the beginning, he'll think it'll never happen." —Tyler L.

Get Friendly

"It can take the edge off to meet with a group of friends. Invite your guy and his crew to hang in a big group. That way you can get a feel for what he's normally like around his buddies and it'll let you both relax a bit more. You can tell a lot about someone by who they surround themselves with."
Corey O.

Reach Out. Literally.
"I like when a girl gets physical with me, but not in the sexual sense. It's more in an affectionate way. I love when she'll touch my arms or something like that as we're talking. It lets me know she's interested without being over the top and shows me we're both there for the same reason. We like each other and it's clear."
—Stephen S.
